Books make anything possible. According to an article, books are a way to get lost in a story. Books serve as an escape for our hectic lives into a different reality. Books allow us to detach from the present pain and drift into another realm where anything is possible. It does not matter your interest because books cover so much  such as: mystery, drama, fiction, nonfiction, autobiographies, biographies, self-help, cooking, textbooks and everything in between.  According to another article, books can transport you back in time to a different century and even to another world. Some Often Overlooked Ways to Save Money

    Posted on April 24, 2013 @ 12:00 am

Don’t you hate living on a budget? That’s a silly question—everyone does. Between paying the utilities and buying clothes, feeding the kids and making sure the groceries are bought, it’s hard to put a little cash aside—but it doesn’t have to be.

Whether you’re buying new shoes for the kids, or a new pair of jeans just to indulge, there are lots of overlooked coupons available to you. You can even find Alienware coupons and coupon deals at NerdWallet when you’re shopping for the Mister!

Sometimes I have to remind myself of all the little ways there are to save on all the various expenses in life. So, to help you better manage your money, I’ve put together a quick list of all of the simple ways to save some money that we often forget.

Buy clothing on sale. I know it’s hard to say no when that cute new top comes out or when the kids would look really cute in those new outfits. When you find yourself thinking these things, just say no! Unless you absolutely need new clothes, which sometimes we do, take a step back remind yourself that in a few short months, when this season turns to next, that same shirt or outfit will cost a fraction of the price. Everyone wins—you and the kids get to look stylish, and you save a bundle of money. Remember, patience is virtue.

Buy in bulk. There is a very good chance that you have a club-style store near you. If you’re not using it, why are you not using it? This works out to some pretty simple math: you could buy the groceries you need right now and go shopping again in a week. Or, you could head over to your local wholesale store and buy the next three weeks’ worth of food for your family. Now, I bet you’re probably saying, “Well, that will cost me more upfront.” Yes, it will, but at the end of three weeks, you will have ultimately saved in the long run. And if the expense is a little too much upfront, you can buy some groceries from your supermarket and some from the wholesale club. Who doesn’t like mixing and matching?

Say no to Starbucks. I don’t mean to single Starbucks out, especially since it’s so delicious, but one of the things we fall into that costs us more money is paying for the name brands. For every Starbucks or other name brand out there, there is a b-brand version or a store-brand version of it that is most likely as good or close to as good. Even if it’s close to as good, buying the one with the off-brand label will save you a significant amount of money—and probably still do the trick.

Ride a bike. Now, I don’t mean everywhere—that would be pretty hard. What I do means is if you’re going somewhere (to the park with the kids for instance) make it a bike ride instead of a car ride. Riding your bike is a triple-win: it saves you gas (and therefore money), you get to enjoy the outdoors a little more, and it fits in some exercise that you probably don’t have a ton of time for when raising a family and running errands.

Use Coupons. This is a no-brainer. The facts are simple: you want to save money and using coupons is basically like you getting free money. All you have to do is clip them. Now, there’s a catch to coupons. Sometimes I end up buying something I wouldn’t have bought just because I had a coupon, which actually makes me spend more money. As long as you are aware of this pitfall and only clip coupons for the items you were going to buy to begin with, you should be golden (and a little richer!).

It’s more than a little easy to overlook these great ways to save a cash, but even if you incorporate just one or two of them you should find yourself with a heavy wallet—which is definitely a not a bad thing!
