Beltless

The kids and I were going over some old photos earlier. They wanted to scan some of our old pictures that they want to upload on the Facebook accounts.  I can’t understand what got into them that suddenly they are interested with those pictures.  To avoid further arguments, I got the albums out right after dinner.

Oh, you can hear them chuckle at each photo especially when they got to the “when I was still single” album.  I grew up in the 80s and if you’re familiar with that era, I’m sure you can imagine the punky look, the hairdos and the wide belts.  I was holding back, trying my best not to laugh, pretending I wasn’t seeing something funny.  I didn’t want them to see me laughing at myself!  (Sorry but I am not posting my photo here, haha.)

walkman

There was a picture where I had a headphone on my head and holding a Sony Walkman, amazed that I had to carry the gadget everywhere I went.  I heard my daughter comment, “I am so glad Mp3 Players have been invented!  At least I don’t have to carry that one and bring all my tapes with me.”  Hay, kids.  But I couldn’t argue, technology has indeed made things a lot easier for us.

The Wonders of GPS Tracking

My sister is one person I can say who enjoyed GPS Tracking the most.  It happened last November when she arrived at her office.  As soon as she alighted from her car, that’s when she realized she had left her car keys inside.  So she looked inside her purse to check her spare keys but lo and behold!  She had left them in her apartment too.  Going back for them will make her late for work especially if she has to take a cab and go through the traffic all over again.

Finally she decided to call the BMW customer service and related what happened to the man who answered the call.  After some verifications, the man asked her where she was and asked for some landmarks.  She told him where exactly she was standing and what she saw around her.  As soon as she gave him all the information he needed, her car doors unlocked.  She was so relieved that she didn’t need to go home to retrieve her spare keys.  Right there and then, with the wonders of GPS Tracking her problem was solved very easily.

High technology has done us one great service.  It has taught us the delight of performing difficult tasks.  What used to take a lot of time now only takes seconds to do.

Be In Total Control

Back in the early days, it was the hounds and the scouts who perform the job tracking. But now that technology has gone leap and bounds, military, businesses and individuals alike, take gps tracking in a different light.   Using the most advanced technology, this gadget is more accurate than ever and the system can virtually track anything.

What used to be exclusive for government agencies and the military, the system is now made available for civilians and businesses.  Private individuals can now track their teens’ driving habits and businesses benefit from it through fleet management with the help of gps tracking.  The system helps them control the overall cost of operating and maintaining the company’s fleet of vehicles and equipment.  Through fleet management,  they will be able to maintain them and maximize and extend their useful life.  It’s a great way to save money and set aside a budget for maintenance and replacement costs because they get to standardize the composition of the fleet as well as control the growth in size.

And the best thing about this is, the system uses the U. S. Department of Defense satellites so you are assured of reliability and accuracy.  So you can easily track down your deliveries and vehicles anytime of the day, any day of the week. You can easily track each vehicle’s information such as travel time, location and travel direction data. Wouldn’t it be nice to know that you are in total control of your business and minimize wastage and unnecessary expenses due to employee abuse?

The old phone is mine!

My brother was telling me how much he enjoys his new phone.  He got the new iPhone 3G complete with iphone accessories courtesy of the company he works for.  One of the perks of being a manager, he gets a new phone before the end of every year.  I am so jealous!  Haha.  Oh well, not really because that means, I can have his old phone… the Blackberry!  Send it to me bro!  :)
