Avoid Toxic Insects: Ways to Keep Mosquitoes and Ticks Away

    Posted on September 23, 2015 @ 1:32 am

Mosquitoes and ticks are disease-carriers that can wreck havoc on a family’s health. In order for residents to remain safe, they must keep these pests at bay. Here are a few proven ways to repel mosquitoes and ticks.

    Get Rid of Leaf Piles
Ticks tend to thrive in environments that provide a lot of moisture. Homeowners should definitely eliminate any leaf piles. If there are fallen leaves that need to be collected, they should be removed from the yard as soon as possible. Although ticks are attracted to shrubbery, fragrant garden plants such as geraniums can be used to deter these pests.

    Check Pets
Ticks are hitchhikers that use pets as a means of transportation. Before allowing a family pet back into the house, it needs to be thoroughly inspected for ticks. This is especially important during the summer. When a dog shakes their body, an unattached tick can easily fall onto the floor. The best approach is to rub down the animal’s fur to be on the safe side.

    Eliminate Standing Water
Mosquitoes view standing water as the perfect habitat. To prevent standing water in the outdoor drainage system, it needs to be periodically cleaned throughout the year. A single bird bath can attract hundreds of mosquitoes. Mosquitoes can even transform an unattended swimming pool into a breeding area. After experiencing a stretch of rainy weather, it is a good idea to scan the property for stagnant water.

    Burn Citronella Candles
When hosting an outdoor gathering such as a family cookout, mosquitoes can be a major problem. Luckily, there is an easy way to eliminate the presence of mosquitoes. These bloodsuckers hate the smell of citronella. Placing a few citronella torches around the backyard can make a big difference.

    Use a Natural Repellent
According to Mosquito Squad, it is advisable to spray a non-toxic repellent on the property. By treating the surrounding area with a natural repellent, the entire family will be able to truly enjoy being outdoors.

Although mosquitoes and ticks are annoying, families can use these tips to keep them away. Everyone should be able to enjoy the beauty of nature without being attacked by pests.

Choose to Stay in Hotels with Extra Amenities

    Posted on September 9, 2015 @ 3:09 pm

Instead of staying in a resort that just offers a bed and television set, use your imagination and think about staying in a place that offers high end amenities and excellent services. Your vacation starts with the hotel that you decide to stay in, so be sure to find a luxurious place to relax. There are many hotel options, such as Bluegreen Resorts, for people looking for a place to rest their head at night.

    Location
When you are looking for a hotel, think about the location that you want to stay in. If you are planning a visit to the beach, an oceanfront resort can be a fun idea. You may want to look for a resort that offers a pool, jacuzzi, and possibly even hammocks overlooking the beach.

    Amenities
Find a hotel that offers unique amenities that can help make your stay even better. There are hotels that offer beachfront massages, nightly bonfires perfect for roasting smores and getting to know other guests, and even room service for your pet.

    Activities
Enjoy joining in on some of the fun activities that a resort can offer. Some resorts have mini-golf courses on site or offer places to play cornhole. If you enjoy arts and crafts, many resorts offer classes to teach you how to make jewelry, seashell nightlights, and more. You never have to have a dull experience when you choose to stay in a resort that has a variety of activities that will be perfect for your entire family to enjoy.

    Rooms
When you are booking a hotel room, you want to make sure that you find a place that you are going to enjoy spending time in. You can look for a room that has a microwave, refrigerator, and stocked mini bar. If you are wanting to stay in a suite, you can enjoy a separate kitchenette and bedroom. Wireless Internet can be important to many travelers, and comfortable pillow top mattresses can be another perk of staying in a nice room or suite.

    On-Site Dining
Many nice resorts have dining on-site. You can enjoy visiting a gourmet restaurant or just order some room service to your room or cabana. Delicious meals can always make your vacation even better.

    Courteous Staff Members
When you choose to stay in a high end resort, you can expect to be treated well. The staff members will all be ready to help make your stay with them a pleasant one. If you have any questions or special needs, a courteous staff will try to accommodate you. You can expect to experience a comfortable stay in a welcoming atmosphere. Safety is also going to be important. You can bring your entire family to a nice resort and feel at ease.

Try to figure out exactly what type of vacation you want to experience before booking your room. You can find resorts that are perfect for family fun, a romantic getaway, and more. Once you know what you want out of your trip, you can book the perfect room and have the vacation of your dreams.

Top Three Reasons Why Bundling is the Best

    Posted on September 5, 2015 @ 2:34 pm

You have probably heard of bundling various services, but you may have never considered any of the advantages of doing this. There is no question that bundling is one of the smartest things you can do as a consumer these days, especially if you are subscribed to multiple services. In fact, many companies are giving their customers various financial incentives to bundle their services. Bundling has even become very popular in the travel industry. There are many travel websites that give people large discounts when they choose to bundle their airfare, hotel and rental car together. Here are some of the many advantages of bundling services.

    1. You can save a lot of money

This is the main reason why bundling has become a very popular thing to do. Companies that provide phone, Internet and TV services are willing to give their customers a price break in exchange for them subscribing to multiple services. When you run a company like this, your goal is to get people to sign up to as many different services as possible. Offering discounts for bundling is a great way to do this. Providers of these services will vary in terms of how much of a discount they will offer. Discounts will also depend on how many services the person orders. Bundle.TV can show interested consumers all of the basics about bundling so they can enjoy savings on services from some of the top providers of phone, Internet and television. You can explore their website to find out more about what is involved.

    2. No need to shop around

It is always easier to buy everything you are looking for from the same place. This rule also applies to services like TV, phone and Internet. Contacting many different providers and comparing rates can become tiresome after a while. Most people have busy lives. They can’t afford to spend their time dealing with multiple companies to get their various entertainment and communication services. The time that bundling can save you can be quite significant.

    3. Less paperwork

If you don’t bundle, there are more bills and paperwork to take care of. This increases the chance that your bill will get lost and you will forget to make a payment. If you bundle your services, everything will be included on the same bill. Anything that can simplify your life should be looked upon as a good thing. Bundling definitely fits into this category.
