    Monarch Food Truck

I spotted this Food Truck while heading out on a drive and had to stop and take a picture of it.  It’s not often you see a bright orange truck like this one.

    Product Review: Easy@Home 3 in 1 Non-contact Infrared Thermometer

    Posted on July 16, 2015 @ 4:19 pm

Getting the right temperature when a child is sick is very important. It’s nice that now we have digital thermometers to give you accurate readings because old school thermometers sometimes, give you different results. Today, I am reviewing the 3 in 1 Non-contact Infrared Thermometer by Easy@Home.

    thermometer 8

    Product Description
*Experience quick and simple temperature taking with the Easy@Home NCT-301 non-contact, infrared thermometer. This easy to use thermometer has the latest infrared technology to display accurate readings within a second. There is no longer any physical contact necessary to get a simple temperature reading, it should always be this easy!
    *Non-Invasive:
Instead of startling or irritating your children, this thermometer reads at a distance and notifies you silently. Eliminating physical contact decreases the chance of cross contamination between users while silent monitoring will not disturb them. The thermometer has a beeping sound to alert for high temperatures, however this feature can be disabled so that no sound emits while taking measurements.
    *Tri-Color Display:
The LCD display will show one of three colors based on the temperature. Not only does this display make reading temperatures easier in the dark, but the three colors indicate different ranges. A green display (<99.1°F (37.3°C)) indicates normal temperature, yellow display 99.3°F~100.2°F (37.4°C~37.9°C) indicates low-fever and red display >100.4°F (38°C) indicates high-fever.
    *Excellence Guarantee:
We offer a lifetime no hassle replacement guarantee for customers.

    How to Take Temperature:
1.Clear forehead area of any hair or perspiration.
2.In ‘Body’ mode (default), aim to the center of the forehead from a distance of 1.2 – 2 inches.
3.Press the scan button and wait a second for the display to show the reading.

    My Thoughts

This one looks so sleek and stylish. I love that it is easy-to-use and you get the result almost instantly. The LCD readout is large enough for me to see without my eyeglasses. It’s easy to read and it has red, green and yellow backlight colors. The thermometer can be easily switched from farenheit to centigrade, so you can use whatever unit you are comfortable with.

Overall, I like this gadget. You know how kids hate it when it comes to taking their temperature. This one is easy because you only need to aim it on the forehead to get an accurate reading. If you are looking for an easy, quick, non-invasive way of taking temperatures, this is a good product to try.

    Where to buy?

You can purchase the Easy@Home 3 in 1 Non-contact Infrared Thermometer through Amazon. It retails at $35.97.

Disclosure: I received a sample of this product free of charge for the purpose of this review. All opinions expressed here are 100% my own and was in no way influenced by anyone or the brand.

Reasons Why Stamp Collecting Is Popular

    Posted on July 7, 2015 @ 2:01 am

There are a lot of reasons why people choose to collect stamps. For some people collecting stamps is an economic decision. Stamp collecting is extremely popular around the entire world. People pay good money for rare stamps. It is a great way for a person to make a steady income. People who look at stamp collecting from the standpoint of income hope to find the rarest stamp at the cheapest price and then they want to resell it for a profit.

For other individuals, commemorative U.S. stamps are something they just enjoy. Finding a rare stamp from a time long past, brings them a sense of joy and a sense of accomplishment. Many just loves hunting for that rare stamp.

Stamp collecting is an excellent way to make new friends and to meet up with people who have the same interest. Since stamp collecting is a worldwide phenomenon, it is a good way to get into contact with people from other countries and increase one’s circle of friends.

For some, collecting stamps is a way to commemorate special events or special interests they have. For example, a person who loves music might only collect stamps that feature prominent musicians. Or a person who really likes nature might collect stamps that have images of landscapes and animals. Or history buffs will collect stamps that reflect important moments in history.

For some individuals, collecting stamps from places like Bruce McDonald Stamps for example, reminds them of their heritage and the heritage of the country they live in. Stamps are a tangible way to mark the passing of time. They are often created to reflect on the most important events in a country’s history. Having stamps that are more than 100 years old is a way to actually hold a piece of history in one’s hands and make history live again.

Many collect stamps because they love the art and design found on them. Stamps have always been designed by some of the most unique and talented artists of their time. Stamp collecting is a hobby that has captured the imagination of millions, and it is a hobby that will no doubt be around for years to come.
