    Music Editing

    Posted on @ 12:00 am

Editing music is no walk in the park that’s why something like a ni maschine mikro at guitar center is a huge help, especially for indie bands out there that are trying to let their music be heard.

    editing

It’s not easy to dive into the music scene and come unprepared, mainly because the competition is tight. So it pays to put a lot of effort and dedication in your music. And although it takes time for people to appreciate what you’ve contributed in the music industry, it’s definitely going to be worth it.

For last week’s favorite photo, I have chosen Sarah’s McMenamins Edgefield Water Tower image. Hope you’d drop by and visit her blog. By the way, for those who are new to OYGIF, Sarah is the woman behind Orange you glad it’s Friday, she just passed it on to me.

    sarah

It has been especially foggy the past few days, and Wednesday night was no different. While I longed to go somewhere in the city and capture the lights, it was not in the cards this night, so I went next door to old Edgefield and focused my lens on the sights there. It was eerily still and I was pretty much alone as I wandered the grounds. This photo of the old water tower than stands in the middle of the property was my favorite capture of the night.

    A Drum Set for Her

    Posted on @ 8:51 pm

If the son is learning how to play the guitar, the daughter is thinking of buying the pdp drum at musicians friend. She been saving up for the set since last year and now that she has saved enough, she’s excited for it. She’s been playing the drums since she was in high school but this is going to be her very first set. I need to ask hubs to sound proof the room where the drums will be placed, or else that will be the sound I will be hearing all day.

    Review: Easy Canvas Prints

    Posted on January 21, 2014 @ 10:14 pm

I was recently offered a chance to review Easy Canvas Prints and since my sister’s birthday is coming up, thought I’d give her this nice present. She’s been living too far away from us and has never seen the twins since they were born. I’m sure she’d love a photo of the them in canvas!

As soon as I got the link to claim my canvas print, I excitedly uploaded the photo I’ve chosen. The process was easy and even if I don’t know much about tech stuff, I was able to create a work of art. Haha. I just chose the size, the border I want and the depth. In a few minutes, I was able to finish the whole process. So, you see, it’s that’s easy. You can even get the photo directly from your Facebook or Instagram account.

Canvas Prints only use quality materials; it’s cotton-based and only giclee prints made from archival inks are used. Other services they offer are Black & White or Sepia Conversion, Retouching, Photo Collages and Multi–Canvas Collages. The last two services are available offline. Should you need assistance, art professionals are available online to retouch your canvas prints if you think there are some flaws with your work. And if you love more customized items like that of Canvas Prints, you can also check Allied Shirts for custom T-shirts and Build a Sign for custom signs.

What I like about Canvas Prints?

It’s beautiful, it’s unique, it’s personalized and so easy to do. It’s also very affordable. And as expected, my sister loved it!

What I don’t like about Canvas Prints?

    Nothing!

    Would I recommend it?

YES. Anyone who’s looking to preserve their precious photos or who’s simply looking for a personalized gift to give a loved one or someone special, this is perfect. And if you decide to purchase your canvas print now you can get it in this link: http://www.easycanvasprints.com/coupon-codes/ at 50% off.

Disclaimer: I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed here are 100% mine and was in no way influenced by the brand or anyone. All photos used in the review were taken by myself or family. Do keep in mind that what works for me may not work for you. However, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

    Yummy Brain Boosters

    Posted on January 13, 2014 @ 5:26 pm

Getting your kid to focus on his homework can be a lot of work. The good news is, you can easily encourage him by simply serving a few key foods. Studies show that the right mix of nutrients can significantly optimize everyday mental function. Below are yummy bites that guarantee peak performance.

    Porridge with berries (1)

    Oatmeal

It helps improve listening skills. Serving him a bowl of oatmeal at breakfast ensures he stays attentive the whole day. Research shows this hearty morning meal can supercharge a child’s concentration by 20 percent. Old fashioned oats are rich in ferulic acid, an antioxidant that protects brain cells from toxins, so kids stay focused.

    lemonade

    Lemonade

The yummy drink sharpens memory. Pack lemonade in your child’s thermos especially during test days. The drink contains vitamin C, which slash internal levels of the stress hormone cortisol by up to 30 percent. According to experts, this prevents cortisol from stunting cell activity in the hippocampus, the brain’s memory center, leading to faster recall.

    chocolate

    Chocolate

The yummy treat increases alertness.  Milk chocolate is the perfect snack for kids before homework time so make sure you give him a few squares to heighten alertness. The treat is rich in theobromine and phenethylamine, plant-derived compounds that boost blood flow to the attention-regulating frontal lobes of the brain by 50 percent.

Hamburger, beef cheese burger with tomato

    Beef

Burger night can be the key to defeating midweek mental fog that disrupts kids’ academic performance. Red meat has rich stores of vitamin B12 that help enhance a child’s focus, concentration and memory scores. This nutrient is essential for the body’s production of glucose, the brain’s fuel source for maintaining optimum mental performance.

    Conspiring Boys

    Posted on @ 12:00 am

Spending a lot of time on the computer and all those whisperings only mean one thing; my boys are up to something. Last time I saw them like that, they dressed up the car; the husband and the son bought a new steering wheel and a set of mag wheels.

Now, they are conspiring again. But before they squander some cash again, I investigated and found out they were checking some 49cc mopeds online. So I asked hubs where in the world would they get the money to buy that. Turned out that they were just helping a friend look for a mini scooter for his son. Whew!
