    Home Again

    Posted on @ 1:44 am

Too excited to visit home, Nadine forgot to bring her docking station, it’s been 10 years since she last came home. She was using a different tablet so no one here at home can lend her a docking station. We had to look for a Tablet Docking Station online so she can still use her tablet while she is here.

Nadine will be staying here for more than a month and you know teenagers, they can’t live without their gadgets. I was able to kind her a one and it was delivered right away.

    The Drive Scrubber

    Posted on @ 1:20 am

If not for my daughter, I never would have known that all the data can still be retrieved even if the drive had been deleted and reformatted. I was selling my old laptop to a friend’s friend so I cleaned up all the files and deleted all my data. I thought all the docs and pics no longer exist but she explained to me that my private data still exists in my laptop. She got her hard drive cleaner and wiped all my private data. Even hubs didn’t know that. What would I ever do without my kids?

    See you soon, Elaine!

    Posted on @ 12:00 am

“Now the you have graduated and passed the board exams, your journey as a nurse begins.”  That’s what my aunt (who is also a nurse) told my cousin Elaine.  Elaine and my aunt will be working in the same hospital and she keeps reminding my cousin that she will be there to guide her.  Of course that doesn’t stop there; Elaine shouldn’t rely on my aunt alone.  With her profession, she should be willing to learn and explore new things specially with our technology now that something new always comes up.

She assured my aunt not to worry because she intends to be updated on things.  In fact, she had already subscribed to different nursing magazines and she is always on the look out for helpful books.  I’m glad Elaine thinks like that.  That means, she’ll be a great nurse and she’ll take care of her patients well.  With this kind of attitude, her patients will not only love her; she’d grow in this profession.

Oh, I will surely miss her.  Being too far away from my best cousin means, we won’t be seeing much of each other.  I wish her all the luck, though.  Miss you Elaine and i hope to see you in a couple of years when I go to New York.

    Healthy Creamsicles

    Posted on July 8, 2012 @ 1:08 am

There is nothing better than cold and sweet popsicles on a steamy day.  but letting your kiddos fill up on sugary treats can lead to fuzzy moods when the sugar crash strikes.  For a healthier option, try this delicious recipe.

    Berries ‘n’ Cream Pops

    • 1/2 pint fresh raspberries
    • 1 1/2 cups low-fat vanilla yogurt, divided
    • 2 tablespoons apple juice

    1. Cut 1/2 fresh raspberries in half; lightly crush.  In bowl, gently fold crushed raspberries into 1 cup vanilla yogurt.  Divide yogurt mixture evenly among 4 three oz. wax-coated paper drinking cups.
    2. In mini processor, pulse remaining raspberries and apple juice 30 seconds, or until smooth.  Spoon 1 tablespoon pureed mixture into each cup.  In bowl, combine remaining pureed mixture and vanilla yogurt; spoon into cups.
    3. Cover cups with foil.  make slit in center of foil and insert 1 popsicle stick.  Freeze cream pops 4 hours, or until set.  Peel away foil and cups before serving.
