Cricket Teams Up With Mellow Music to Release a Compilation

When Cricket unveiled Muve Music, they gave their phone subscribers over a million reasons to ditch their MP3 players and stick to the Cricket smartphone. Now that Cricket has teamed up with Mellow Music Group, they will be unveiling a compilation of new tracks by a bevy of talented artists, exclusively for Muve users.

Mellow Music Group, known for its fresh take on hip hop rhythms that speak from deep within America’s soul, is a relatively recent addition to the music scene. However, it has wasted no time uncovering new Indie artists with stories to tell. In 2010, Mellow Music Group appeared on The LA Times’ list of the 10 reasons to be optimistic about hip hop. The Mellow Muve compilation proves this by brilliantly showcasing some of its best artists in a collection of hip hop songs that forms a soundtrack to “the terrible & triumphant moments of everyday life”.

Indie artists Oddisee, Apollo Brown, Gensu Dean and yU infuse the 28-track album with songs that hark to hip hop’s roots—smart juxtapositions of killer beats and American jazz—then give listeners an inside look with their own commentary. It’s the kind of album you’ll have on repeat whether you’re walking around in New York City, cruising with the windows down, or knocking out jabs in the gym. After you pick up the Mello Muve compilation, you can also check out the other artists that Mellow has lined up.

Cricket dubs its mobile music program “the first complete music experience created for the phone”. Users will definitely enjoy the continuously expanding library of songs and the following benefits:

    • Muve Music lets you share your favorite songs with friends on their Cricket smartphone.
    • You can easily create your own ringtones and ringback tones and assign them the way you want.
    • You can get new music delivered directly to your phone—no more having to wait on syncing and no hassle with cords.
    • Your music and phone are both compiled into one, so thousands of applications, GPS, Google Maps, messaging, Facebook and calls are within reach—just plug in your earphones and go, even without packing your MP3 player.

The exclusive Mellow Muve compilation is just one of many collaborations. Muve Music regularly teams up with the most renowned names in the music industry, just to bring subscribers exclusive albums and tracks. For music fanatics, it is definitely worth looking into, especially if you want to get the exclusive Mellow Muve compilation, other tracks and collaborations, as well as keep up-to-date with all the latest music in the hip hop scene.

    All Boxed Up

    Posted on @ 8:14 pm

My sister is ready to make her big move. Rather than have a garage sale to dispose of her things, she decided to pack them all up and send them all to her new house. Shipping her things is a lot cheaper than buying new furniture and other household stuff. She doesn’t want to let go of her huge book collection. Some of them are very rare. She’s not a dresser and has a very simple wardrobe.

She loves music and has a vast collection of CDs, records and tapes. She also owns several hundred DVDs. She’ll never let go of these. She’s taking all of them with her. Packing all these need some tender loving care. Every single item is dear to her. She has tapped Shipsmart to professionally and carefully pack her things for her. It took several dozen boxes and crates. The movers also took care of the transportation. All her things will be there when she arrives.

This is not the first time she’ll be moving.; it’s actually her third. She’s  a troubleshooter for her company and is often assigned to other states to ensure that operations are smooth. I suppose she’s used to it. Packing up and moving to another city is no big deal. She’s always been an independent spirit.

    A Surprise from MIL

    Posted on @ 12:16 am

Before going to her friend’s dinner party, MIL passed by my house yesterday to visit the kids. She heard that one of the girls is sick and she wanted to see how they are. When she arrived, she was carrying two beautiful gift-wrapped boxes. She handed me one box and she said the other is for her friend. I don’t know where she bought these unique hostess gifts because she wouldn’t tell me. Inside the box were fresh strawberries coated with dark chocolate, white chocolate and nuts. She knows those are my favorite. I love you mom!

    It was an Accident!

    Posted on @ 12:15 am

My cousin still can’t get over her embarrassment early this evening. She attended her friend’s wedding and she was one of the secondary sponsors. The wedding went well according to her but on her way to the reception, as she passed by the main entrance of the hotel, she tripped on the carpet and hit a stanchion as she fell. Without thinking , she stood up and tried to walk calmly, but her butt hurt terribly. She said she went straight to the rest room and called me up to tell me what happened. She wanted to skip the reception and go home right away but I told her to stay. It could happen to anybody and besides, it was an accident. We were still talking when the bride came in and asked her to stay. She did, and I hope she has already already forgotten what happened and enjoyed herself.

    Keep Kitty Away from Houseplants

    Posted on April 19, 2012 @ 2:15 pm

Does your cat love chewing on your plants?  Stop her from making a mess and snacking on potentially harmful leaves wit this little trick.  Fill the surface of the planter with rocks or shells then cover the entire area so her paws can’t fit.  Cats hate stepping on rough surfaces so she will surely stay away from your beloved plants.

    What’s Your Name’s Hidden Meaning?

    Posted on @ 2:15 pm

    You Are Powerful and Determined

You are confident, self assured, and capable. You are not easily intimidated.
You master any and all skills easily. You don’t have to work hard for what you want.

You make your life out to be exactly how you want it. And you’ll knock down anyone who gets in your way!

You are usually the best at everything … you strive for perfection. You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.

You have the classic “Type A” personality.

You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You’re always up to something.

You have a ton of energy, and most people can’t handle you. You’re very intense.

You definitely are a handful, and you’re likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It’s easy to get you excited… which can be a good or bad thing.

You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don’t stick with any one thing for very long.

You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.
