  • How do Moms spend their “ME” Time

    Posted on January 30, 2012 @ 4:34 pm

Well, I can’t really speak for ALL the mothers and their “me” time because it varies for every Mother out there. So I’m going to write about how I usually spend my “me” time and the simple pleasures that make me appreciate my life even more. Who knows, if you are a mother or even a wife who needs ideas on how to spend your free time, you might get an idea from these…

    –          All mothers appreciate a massage. Whether it’s a home massage or from a nice massage place near the area. After a long day at work or with the kids, an hour or two for a good massage would be heavenly!

    –          Sleep. Yes as simple as that – to be able to sleep 8 hours or more. That would be a simple pleasure for me. And during weekends, I would love to allot half a day to sleep. I’m sure all mothers would love that too

    –          Catch up on my reading. I love to read books and it would a simple pleasure for me if I would be given time to read my favorite book

    –          Time to surf my favorite social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram

    –          Time to play my favorite games

These things may look and sound so simple, but for me, these are the things that I miss especially if my hands are full taking care of my family. I’m sure some of the Mothers would be able to relate too.

    Miranda’s Reward

    Posted on @ 12:00 am

A few months after giving birth to her daughter, Miranda worked hard to get back to her old weight.  She didn’t have a hard time though because she is still young and losing all those pregnancy pounds is pretty easy when you are still in your mid-twenties.  To reward herself, Miranda shopped for a sexy lingerie.  Friends are teasing her that maybe she wanted another baby.  I envy women who finds it easy to lose weight; it’s so hard to lose them when you are in your forties.

Which Beer Tap Should I Choose?

    Posted on @ 2:28 am

Beer taps, also known as beer faucets, are simple devices that allow you to serve beer easily and without any hassle. Although beer taps are very simple, there’s a huge range of choice when deciding which one to buy. All beer taps are placed into four main categories. A brief overview of each of these categories should help you decide which one you should choose.

The rear closing faucet is the standard beer tap, and probably the one that you have seen most. The tap handle has a lever action which allows the beer to flow easily from the faucet and into your glass. The valve is at the rear end, hence the name “rear closing”. This type of beer tap is easy to assemble and clean and can be found without any trouble, due to its popularity. It’s simple to use and very few people have problems with this type of faucet.

The front closing faucet is almost the same as the rear closing one; the only significant difference is that the valve is at the front on this one. This type of beer tap is available in stainless steel. Many experts recommend stainless steel because of its durability and hygienic qualities.

Creamer faucets are very similar to the rear closing ones. One of the good things about creamer faucets is the fact that when you push back on the tap handle, air is sucked into the beer and this provides a nice, thick foam on the top of your drink.

The variable flow control faucet is the perfect one for a lot of people. You can control the flow of beer and adjust it so it’s exactly what you want. These beer taps have a very unique look that some people find attractive; however, they can be fairly expensive to purchase.

Places that Fit for Your Passion in Writing

    Posted on @ 2:13 am

Being a writer is a noble one. It’s all about trying to filter the complexities of human emotion and experiences and putting them into words that can evoke recognition and unlock a passionate reaction from the reader. At least that’s what you tell people when they ask. In truth, the life of a writer is a lonely one. You spend a lot of time staring at a blank page or screen hoping to find the right words to fill in.

If you are in any number of well-known coffee shops you may notice tables full of “writers” plying their craft out in the open. Chances are these people are more interested in being perceived as a writer than actually doing any writing. The life of a writer is usually quite solitary.

Distractions are the constant threat to a writer. There are the typical distractions of external noise and constant interruptions by phone, email and messaging from well-meaning but bothersome people. Then there are the ones the writer creates in his or her mind to delay the actual writing. It doesn’t matter if the writer has a Hollywood mansion or is in Mississippi in one of the Biloxi apartments, you will usually find the writer’s space clean and tidy since writers are so desperate to avoid work that they will do an amazing amount of cleaning and straightening up while trying to avoid the horrible gaze of the blank page facing them.

Here are three suggestions for the best places to write:

    1. A hotel room. Famous authors such as Agatha Christie and Rudyard Kipling wrote classic novels in hotel room. The hotel room excels for being a pristine work room free from distractions and noise.
    2. A café or coffee shop. Before she was well-known, Harry Potter author J. K. Rowling wrote her books in cafes. These places often have the perfect combination of isolation and social interaction. The food and drinks are easy to come by to stay refreshed. And if you need to take a break and recharge your brain, you can easily get up and take a walk around the neighborhood to another café for a change of scenery.
    3. Your own office / writing space. As nice as a hotel room is, it is quite sterile. Writing is a lonely enough experience without having to isolate yourself from everything. At home you are comfortable and surrounded by your favorite things. You have quick access to the Internet for research and the bathroom is much cleaner.

Whichever one you choose, the goal is to find a comfortable place to set your mind free and release your stories onto the page.

    Dog Diet

    Posted on January 19, 2012 @ 2:17 am

Is your doggy overweight?  You can trim him down without letting him go hungry.  Switch to rice cakes instead of his high-calorie treats and biscuits.  Dogs will love the crunch of these low fat snacks they wouldn’t even know they are on diet.

    He’s back!

    Posted on @ 1:56 am

My cousin from the US came home last week to visit us.  Last time he came home was about 12 years ago.  He used to be really thin and unsteady but now he’s well-built.  He’s been requesting a lot of local foods that he missed and visiting places.  He is making the most out of his vacation because he’ll be flying back home next week.  He mentioned that he’s considering coming back here next year and settle down here.  He works as rv repair mechanic and he noticed that there are only a few mechanics here who specialize on that.  He’s seeing a great opportunity and I hope he pushes through with it.
