  • Let In The Light

    Posted on October 30, 2010 @ 2:23 am

Early sunrises mean that light-sensitive brain structures can get a jump on producing endorphines and dopamine.  So let the light in upon waking up for all day energy.  This neurochemical boost not only helps you wake up with greater ease, it enables you to power through your entire day.

    Hip Recall Lawsuit

    Posted on @ 2:05 am

I recently read about a recall of hip replacement systems because patients suffered from pain and swelling.  Apparently, some patients have filed a hip recall lawsuit against the manufacturer. I’m not very familiar with total hip replacement so I made a little research to satisfy my curiosity.  I’ve heard a lot of different lawsuits, I even have a friend who sought the help of Texas truck accident lawyer but it’s the first time I’ve read about hip recall lawsuit.

I found out that hip replacement surgery is performed when a person has severe hip damage.  The damaged cartilage and bone are removed from the hip joint and are replaced with artificial parts. This can significantly relieve patients from pain, and improve walking and other movements.  Hip replacement is an excellent option for people with hip damage and pain.  Those who filed the lawsuit claimed that they have experienced severe swelling and pain.

    You Are Classic and Chic

You don’t fall for old fads thinly disguised as new trends. You prefer to stick to what’s tried and true.

You are wise and savvy. You know history well, and you aren’t doomed to repeat it.

You aren’t scared of much. You prefer to get to the bottom of things rather than wonder about them.

You believe that most fear is fear of the unknown, so you try to know as much as possible.

    Stop Anger In A Snap

    Posted on October 29, 2010 @ 1:50 am

Going home to a house in disarray, kids tormenting each other and a noisy pet can make you ready to snap.  When you’re angry, try this little trick.  Link your fingers together at chest level with your right palm facing inward and your left palm facing outward.  Grip tightly, pulling your arms apart for 30 seconds; then release.  The Bear Grip is an ancient yogic move that corresponds to the fourth chakra, which governs forgiveness.  You will soon feel calm enough to handle the situation with grace.

    Clean and Clear

    Posted on @ 1:49 am

We had some of our major pipes changed. After a pipe sprung a leak, we were afraid that dirt may have entered our water tank. Contamination can lead to some very deadly consequences. Along with the pipes, we also had the main water filter changed. Every faucet in the house had its filter changed. Water isn’t something you take for granted. It can contain anything from dirt to germs. Keeping your water clean and clear is very important.

    Grandma’s Farm

    Posted on @ 1:23 am

It’s been awhile since we went to the country. Since Hubby’s grandma passed away, there was no point going there. I remember how much time we spent there and how Granny taught me how to cook Hubby’s favorite dishes. The farmhouse had three different kitchens for different uses. Her kitchens were just incredible. All her kitchenwares are made of copper. They had copper farmhouse sinks as well. I  sorely miss Grandma’s farm.

    A Wedding in December

    Posted on October 22, 2010 @ 2:53 pm

One of our tenants is getting married on December 20.  We are very happy for her that she’s finally settling down with her long time boyfriend.  Faith and Anthony have been together for 5 years now.  I am helping her with the flowers and Bridal Jewelry. Her mom is taking care of the gown and bridesmaids’ dresses. She’s a very busy lawyer so we’re all working together with the wedding details.  I’m just so glad she didn’t give in to her fiance’s request to have the wedding in Ilocos.  It’ll be much harder for all of us if she did.
