    The Pesky Ingrowns

    Posted on @ 12:20 am

No matter how well you think you’ve mastered the razor, the pesky ingrowns continue to crop up. Now this can really get irritating.  But do you know what would help smooth them away?  You wouldn’t believe it but I found out that the best acne treatments can do the trick.

Here’s how to do it:  Apply a dab of acne treatment gel to the bumps twice a day.  After the gel soaks in, massage the area with a soft baby toothbrush.  The gentle acid will melt the dead cells that are blocking the follicle, and the soft bristles will help coax out the tip of the hair without the sting of harsh scrubs.

When Going On A long Drive

    Posted on @ 12:15 am

I’m sure you already know the preliminaries before hitting the road.  Going on long drives is not an easy task so you have to be as comfortable and safe as possible.  Performing a safety inspection before going on a trip and having a checklist of things you need to bring are just some of the things you pay close attention to. But you need to be ready in case some problems arise during your rv travel so check if your 5th wheel insurance is updated.  Make sure everything is ready before you leave and you have a roadside assistance  service just in case something goes wrong.  Happy driving!  🙂

    Mom’s Phobia

    Posted on September 28, 2010 @ 12:54 am

Have I told you that mom has a phobia whenever she sees a man wearing a white lab coat?  It was because of an unforgettable painful experience she had when she was still very young.  Actually, she is not afraid of clinics or hospitals, it’s the needle she is terrified (very!) of.  She felt so much pain when a doctor gave her an immunity booster when she was young.  We (all her children and grandkids), are laughing at her every time she tells us the story.  One upside of being afraid is she takes care of her health really well to avoid seeing the man in white gown. 😉

Well, at least now she needn’t worry about white gowns, as most doctors and nurses prefer using cotton scrubs.  Some designs are so cute and they are now in different colors you wouldn’t even think you are in a hospital.  Gone are the days with white, boring, and (to some) scary uniforms.  Patients, like my mom would definitely feel more at ease seeing the dainty scrub sets.

    The Rugged and The Formal

    Posted on @ 12:01 am

Hubs has a strong liking for sports watches. He is the rugged type and he wears them even to formal occasions. He has a few dress watches that are only collecting dust in his drawer and I’m thinking of passing them on to my dad and father-in-law since he’s not using them. I’m sure he won’t mind. He likes driver and divers in particular. IWC Watches is currently in his wish list.

My brother-in-law is his exact opposite though.  He prefers the more expensive ones.  On his last trip to the US, he bought a very expensive timepiece. Hubs said we could buy a car with the price of his watch.  Even if we can afford it, I’m not sure if hubs will even wear a watch like that.

    Pool Safety

    Posted on September 25, 2010 @ 2:58 am

Pool accidents do happen, toddlers who may have escaped their parents’ notice could end up drowning. Aside from accidents like this, house pets could make a costly mess whenever they get into the pool.

No matter how attentive you are, you can never be sure of your child’s safety. Aside from strict vigilance and attentiveness, pool owners or parents should also be concerned about pool safety. A pool Fence should be installed around the backyard to keep them from gaining access to the pool. It should prevent your child from getting under or over and should have self-closing gates to keep the little ones from getting to the pool.

Pool accidents can be prevented. You can still allow your children enjoy the fun of summer and their love for swimming while also making sure they are safe.

    The Best Trophies

    Posted on @ 2:58 am

With only a few weeks left with the bowling tournament, hubs’ hands are full updating the league scores and the Asian Intercity elimination scores.  I offered him help but he said he’s almost done with the scores.  He needed to look for sport trophies for the awarding ceremony so that’s what I’ll be doing tomorrow, call several suppliers and compare prices.  My team is in contention.  We are currently in 3rd place and the scores are so close.  If we continue to play well in the next few weeks, we have a good chance for the 1st place.  I’ll make sure we have the best trophies for this tournament, haha.

It’s almost three am and here I am still working.  I should finished all the tasks earlier but i can’t seem to concentrate.  I keep seeing this image in my mind.

But where will I get a slice of that yummy strawberry cheesecake at this time of night?  Lol.  I’m definitely going out later to have a bite.  🙂
